The Truffle whitepaper

For $TRUFFLE holders: the coin for the meme in any TikTok or Instagram video, in Chrome, on Telegram or from a link; the memes rising before their coins do; and a coin whose fees mostly burn it.

Abstract#

Truffle is a Chrome extension, a Telegram bot and a site for TikTok and Instagram. It reads what a video says about itself, searches every Solana launchpad for coins with that name, and shows the one people mean: the original, its market cap, who holds it and a link to it. In Chrome it does this beside the video as you scroll; anywhere else you send it the video's link. A trends page ranks the hashtags and sounds rising on both apps, with the coin for each or a note that there isn't one yet.

Using it takes holding $TRUFFLE: 100,000 for the badge and the holder check, 1,000,000 for the trends, 5,000,000 for hourly data, alerts and a watchlist. 90% of the coin's creator fees buy it back and burn it, and 10% pay for running Truffle. Until $TRUFFLE launches, Truffle is closed to everyone.

The problem#

Memes break on TikTok and Instagram. Coins about them launch on Solana, often within minutes. The two never meet: to find the coin for a video you have to leave the app, guess the name, search a launchpad and work out which of the results is real. By then you've scrolled on.

Working out which one is real is the hard part. On 17 October 2026, Jupiter's token search for "chill guy" returned 12 coins named after it or close to it. One had a market cap of about $10M and real trading. The other 11 sat around $3k with an organic-trading score of 0, most of them launched in the ten days before. A search that ranks by match alone puts those next to the real one.

Who made a coin matters as much as its name. On 18 October 2026, three of the one-holder coins called MOODENG came from creator wallets that had each launched between 1,800 and 3,200 coins. And the earliest signal isn't a coin at all: it's the meme itself, growing on TikTok before anyone has launched one.

How it works#

1. Reading the video

After you stay on a video for about half a second, the extension reads its hashtags, its sound's name and its caption, all of which are on the page. It picks up to 4 names: hashtags first, then the sound, then "quoted phrases" and Capitalised Names in the caption. Generic tags (#fyp, #viral), category tags (#podcast, #cats), "original sound" and shouted words ("NOT", "OMG") are skipped.

Without the extension, a video's link does the same job. The search page, the Telegram bot and Android's Share menu send the link to trufflepig.fun, which reads the same caption, hashtags and sound through ScrapeCreators (one request per link; a link read in the last week costs nothing) and picks the names the same way. At most 2,000 links are read a day, for everyone together, and 30 an hour per person.

2. Searching

Each name goes to trufflepig.fun, which asks Jupiter's token search for every coin with it, on any Solana launchpad. Answers are kept for 3 minutes, so a video watched by thousands costs one search.

3. Labelling

  • Original: among coins with exactly the meme's name, the oldest one that's still alive. Alive means under 72 hours old, worth $10k or more, or trading $5k in a day.
  • Copy: a coin with the same name launched after the original.
  • Dead: an older coin with the name that's no longer alive. A dead coin doesn't hold a name.
  • Thin: a market cap 40× its liquidity or more, with an organic-trading score of 20 or less out of 100.
  • Partial: the meme's name is part of the coin's name ("Baby Moo Deng" for "moo deng").

4. Ranking

Coins are scored by what they're worth to a buyer (their liquidity, or a tenth of their market cap unless it's thin), with an exact name above a ticker above a partial name, and the original above its copies. Coins whose name isn't exactly the meme's are left out below $4k. The best 8 per name are kept.

5. The holder check

Every coin comes with three numbers from Jupiter's audit of it: the share of the supply its top holders own (pools and the bonding curve aren't counted), the share its creator's wallet still holds, and how many coins that wallet has launched. Each is flagged when the top holders own 50% or more, the creator holds 5% or more, or the creator has launched 100 coins or more. Coins Jupiter marks as suspicious are flagged too.

6. Showing

The badge beside the video names the top coin when it's an exact name or ticker with a real market (a market cap of $10k or more, or 25 or more holders, and not thin), with its market cap, its label and a link to its chart. Otherwise it says "Maybe", or "No coin yet". Clicking it opens a card with every match, the holder check, links to Pump.fun or DexScreener and Jupiter, and a button to copy the contract address.

7. Trends

Every 3 hours, trufflepig.fun reads TikTok's trending feed in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia, and Instagram's trending reels, and notes their hashtags and sounds (the same names the badge would read). Every hour it measures the 25 memes measured longest ago: for a TikTok sound, how many videos use it; for a hashtag, the views on its top videos and how many of them were posted in the last day. A meme that hasn't trended for 7 days stops being measured.

Memes are ranked by their growth over the last 24 hours: the change (counting 1,000 views as one video, so sounds and hashtags compare), plus the change as a share of where it started (counted up to 3×), plus a little for size. Each hour, the coins for 12 of the memes are checked with the same search the badge uses, and their market caps recorded. The 10 fastest risers with no coin yet are marked hot.

8. Holding and access

You connect your wallet on trufflepig.fun: the wallet shares its public address, and nothing is signed. trufflepig.fun then reads that address's $TRUFFLE balance from Solana, at most 2 minutes old, every time you use a feature, and your tier follows it. The extension and the Telegram bot never touch a wallet: the account page hands the extension a token good for 30 days, and the bot's /connect link ties a chat to the connected wallet. Every check happens on trufflepig.fun, so changing the extension can't unlock anything.

Connecting proves nothing on its own, and addresses are public, so anyone could type a holder's. To stop one address being passed round, each can be connected on 3 devices in 24 hours. A device past that has to sign a message with the wallet once, which only its owner can do. It's a message, not a transaction.

Truffle King5,000,000 $TRUFFLETrends every hour, alerts when a rising or watched meme gets its first real coin, and a watchlist

Without holding, the search page and the public API show the top 3 coins for a name, without the holder check. The trends page shows everyone the top 5 risers of each view as of the start of the day, with their charts, before launch too. The names under No coin yet stay with Hunters: those are the memes nobody has launched a coin for.

Before $TRUFFLE launches nobody can hold it, so no tier is open and Truffle is closed to everyone. The only exception is a short list of our own test wallets, used to check that it works. Their access ends the moment $TRUFFLE launches; after that they need to hold like anyone else.

Money flows#

Truffle charges nothing beyond holding $TRUFFLE: no subscription, no fees, no ads, no paid placements. The only money is $TRUFFLE's creator fees.

Pump.fun sets the creator-fee rate, not us. It can change it.

The trend data is bought from ScrapeCreators, which charges per request. At one run an hour that's about 640 requests a day, plus one per new link looked up (at most 2,000 a day), paid from the operations share.

Token#

$TRUFFLE hasn't launched. It will launch on Pump.fun, and its mint address, the deployer wallet and any team holdings will be published on this page and on @trufflepigfun the same day. Until then, any coin calling itself $TRUFFLE isn't ours, and Truffle is closed: nobody can hold the coin, so no tier is open. Only our own test wallets can use it, to check it works, and that ends at launch.

Anyone can check a label: the public API returns the top coins, their numbers and their labels for any name, and the rules above are the code's rules (the docs print the same constants).

Risks and limits#

  • You can lose money. Meme coins are speculation. Most go to zero, including ones Truffle labels original and memes it shows rising. A label tells you which coin came first and which has a market, not whether it will go up.
  • Access follows the market. Tiers are set in tokens, so reaching one costs more as $TRUFFLE's price rises, and less as it falls. Selling below a tier's amount loses it within 2 minutes.
  • The labels and the holder check are rules, not judgement. Jupiter returns up to 20 coins per name, so a coin outside them can't be labelled. Market data can be minutes old. The holder numbers are Jupiter's audit and can be wrong or missing. A clean holder check doesn't make a coin safe.
  • The trend data is bought, and it's a sample. It comes from ScrapeCreators, a paid service that collects public TikTok and Instagram data; neither app endorses it. It can be late, incomplete or stop. A hashtag's number is the views on its top videos, not every view it has had.
  • It only knows what the video says. If the caption doesn't name the meme, Truffle can't find it. A shared link is read through ScrapeCreators: private, deleted and age-restricted videos can't be read, and the daily allowance of links can run out.
  • Platforms change. TikTok and Instagram change their pages, and Jupiter and ScrapeCreators their APIs. Any of them can stop the badge or the trends until Truffle is updated.
  • Connecting. Truffle reads your wallet's address and asks for a signature only when an address is in use on too many devices: a message, never a transaction. Because connecting proves nothing, someone could use a holder's address on up to 3 devices in 24 hours. A site asking you to approve a transaction to use Truffle isn't us.
  • Wallets. The buyback wallet is a hot wallet that holds fees until they're spent. Hot wallets can be compromised.
  • Installing from a folder. Until it's on the Chrome Web Store, the extension installs in developer mode, without Google's review. Only download it from trufflepig.fun.
  • Legal status. Rules for coins differ by country and are changing. Check yours.

Roadmap#

Built

  • The extension, on TikTok and Instagram, with the badge, the card and the popup search
  • Original, copy, dead, thin and partial labels, and the holder check
  • Holder tiers, with wallet connect on trufflepig.fun (no signature)
  • Without the extension: link lookups on the search page, Android's Share menu, and Truffle on Telegram
  • Trends: rising sounds and hashtags with charts; hourly numbers, alerts and a watchlist for Truffle Kings
  • Search on trufflepig.fun and the public API

Planned

  • Launch $TRUFFLE on Pump.fun and publish its mint and wallets here
  • List the extension on the Chrome Web Store
  • Publish every burn with its transaction

Disclaimer#

Nothing here is financial advice or a promise of returns. Truffle shows public market data, labels from fixed rules and trends from bought data; what you buy is up to you. Holding $TRUFFLE gives access to Truffle and nothing else. Coins can go to zero, $TRUFFLE included.
